Hello Holy City,

From January 4, 2011 to April 21, 2011 this will be my beautiful new home. For those of you who don't know what 'this' is, and can't tell from the picture it is the BYU Jerusalem Center located northeast of the Old City on Mount Scopus. I feel so blessed for this wonderful opportunity I have been given. I am pretty much stoked about being able to be where my Savior lived for a whole semester and learn and grow although it hasn't quite hit me that I am going to be in a foreign country in 2 months. Whenever I read the news, I am slightly concerned because of the political tension going on right now but then I remember that BYU is very pre-cautious. So not to worry I will be safe. While there I will be taking 15 credits which include Arab and Islamic Civilizations, Jewish Civilizations, Intro to Hebrew, New Testament, Old Testament, Near Eastern Studies and Jerusalem Field Trips. I will be visiting significant places in Israel and also in Jordan and Egypt. I spend a couple weeks by the Sea of Galilee, get to hike Mount Sinai and get to do lots of other cool awesome things. The only bummer part is that I won't be there for Easter, which makes me sad. I fly out a couple of days before, but I will be there for Passover so I can't complain much. I think that this opportunity will be something that I will never forget, and something that will change my character, and strengthen my testimony. I am so excited to learn so much new knowledge and actually be in places where things took place. Since I'll be o the other side of the world and super busy I'll pretty much be MIA except for emails and occasional calls, but me being missing is totally worth it because I will be having the time of my life. :)
