So I don't know how this started but I was looking though this notebook journal thingy I kept when I was in the 6th grade and still had a gap in between my front teeth. I have decided to share this because it is hilarious. These are my exact words. I'm not editing.
"It's not fair to have a bedtime. I'm not a child anymore I'm actually 13, you know. There are many reasons why I shouldn't have a bedtime.
1. I'm 13, a teenager not a child.
2. It's summer vacation. I'm supposed to stay up late, wake up late or whatever I want to do.
3. For 9 months (school year) I have woken up at like 6:30 everyday almost. I think I should be able to sleep in late to make-up for the horrid day I had to wake up early. The only way to wake up late is to go to bed late.
4.Why should it matter? When school was in I went to bed at 11:20-12:00 sometimes 1:00. That's really sad that when I'm in school and actually need to go to bed early I have more freedom than when I'm in summer break.
So I hope you learn from this. [I have no idea who you is or why I took a break in my list]
5. Kelsie, Pam and Beth all don't have bed times and they go to bed later than me. That's discrimination.
6. What's the point of a bedtime if you don't ever enforced it? And you know that I've actually listen to that stupid orde. I've been in bed by 11:00 almost everyday.
7. Pam and Kelsie totally use it against us. Now (it's only been not even a day) they are always like, "Isn't it your bedtime blah blah blah...."
Bhahhaha... if my children are anything like me, I'm in trouble. Luckily I've grown out of this attitude and have come to the realization that bedtimes are a marvelous thing. I enforce them on myself now. Eleven year old me would be ashamed.
