The American Game of Football

Everyone loves football, I like football, but football is weird. Guys running around in tight pants and pads, tackling each other. It isn't normal. It's actually kinda violent and quite opposite of human nature. I don't know about other people but when someone is running towards me I wanna move out of the way, or cheer for them to run faster. Football players do the exact opposite. They see someone running towards them, that is pure muscle by the way, and wanna kill em and run towards them then tackle 'em. Are you crazy?!?! You have helmets and pads on but really are you trying to kill yourselves? Another thing I can understand giving some encouragement, high fives and such, but smacking each others butts.... that's weird. It is even weirder when you smack the other teams butts, literally not figuratively.

Now about my Cougars. I love my Cougars, even though this season hasn't been the best, I still love them with all my heart. I still cheer for them even if they are losing (I think cheering in high school taught me that quality), or when its pouring rain and I am soaked and freezing "we will fight day or night rain or snow". I have so much respect for the football players that somehow manage to do football and school and not go crazy. But.... I wish it wasn't so time consuming. I am really excited for this week having a BYE which seems like a silly thing to be excited about but I have my reasons. Anywho those are my crazy thoughts about the game of football (which reminds me, besides the running, punting and kicking part, there is not foot involvement. It should be called handball or something else that makes sense.)
