Neot Kedomin

Neot Kedumim is an artificial national park that holds all the native plants and animals (except lions, there were no lions) as well as the plants in the Bible. It was awesome to see the landscape and the actual plants that are referred to in imagery used in the Bible. We ground hyssop by hand. We made homemade pitas over a fire and all. Then we put olive oil and hyssop on it. Delicious. We also dipped it in date honey. Also delicious. Jared found a chameleon, and I held it. That was pretty cool. It had awesome feet and actually changed colors. We made the corn (its really wheat) stuff that is in the story of Ruth and Boaz. It was pretty tasty. I was a Gerbil for 5 minutes when I went running in a water wheel. I’m pretty happy being a human being. We met a Yemin scribe. He taught about how the Torah, Tefillin, Mazuzah, ink and parchment are made. It was pretty cool. All Kosher. We also herded sheep! Yup I was a shepherd. Its hard work. You’d have a lot of free time. Oh by the way all this was on Valentine’s Day. Pretty much the best Valentine’s of my life. I even had a Valentine that loved me. He was white with floppy ears and he was a goat. J
