Shephelah FT

The Shephelah, or the lower hills of Israel located between the coastal plain (Tel Aviv) and the high hills of Judah (Jerusalem). Lots of significant sights such as Gath where Golith is from, Beth Shemesh the guardian city of the Sorek Valley and also a visiting spot of the lost ark, Mareshah the guardian city of the Gurvin Valley, Azekah the guardian city of the Elah Valley and a tel viciously destroyed by the Assyrians, Valley/Brook of Elah where David got 5 smooth stones and where the battle between the Phillistines and Israelites took place, and Lachish the guardian city of the valley of Lachish brutally destroyed by the Assyrians and the last stronghold before Jerusalem. This field trip was great. It was beautiful. The whole country turned into spring while we were gone in Egypt. It is green with grass and flowers. There are bright red poppies everywhere. They are beautiful. I slung rocks like a boy in the Valley of Elah like David. I’ve come to the realization that David must have had a lot of free time while he was watching his sheepies. Slinging rocks is hard work. At Mareshah we visited a Sidonian tomb where I pretended to be a zombie. It was fun. We went into the bell caves and sang. Awesome acoustics. We also saw an olive press.
