Hola Familia.
Questions to answer. My companion hna Grimaldi is from buenos aires argentina. She has been out for 10 months. she goes home in july. she is the oldest in her family, the only girl with two little brothers. Her dad is a nurse and work in a clinic and has a business selling lotiuons and cremes for all different types of things. The whole entire area presidency lives in her ward. This isnt a joke either. Her mom is nice and for her birthday on the 21st is also sending me presents!!! Oh yeah! I sent my pictures using the memory card from hna. grimaldi. President gave us money to buy scriptures. I am still morning my other ones but am happy to have scriptures now even though I leave my house now with a book of mormon, with a evelope hidden and inside 2000 pesos and my key in my bra. yeah extreme maybe but effective. My companion and I are adjusting. She still has nightmares which pretty much ruins any desire for her to work. I have taken on the hobby of singing to her in the street when she looks worried. We also had a talk this week of basically yeah this was a while ago time to move on we have work to do I want to work. Effective I think. We are still in the same area and apartment. although we are trying to switch apartments to one that is closer to the middle of our area. Right now we dont even live in our zone or area. We have transfers in 2 of December. and I dont really know what is going to happen. honestly, whitewash and put i elders. I doubt it but really have no idea. Its hot here. although there are days that are really cold too. Bipolar but usually hot.
Firstly let me tell you about the many miracles this week. I dont think you understand the dire circumstances that we were in last week. We literally had no money. President gave us some but not very much but we had not food in our house and no money to but food. Sunday we paid fast offering with all our hope that we would be blessed for our obedience... and we were. We got a call from the office and the president king telling us hermanas we have your cards!!! where are you at!! So we went straight to the office to pick up our cards. the 2 hour trip was worth it to have money again. It was a miracle really because it only took us 10 days to get our cards from salt lake including ordering them and getting them from the bank too. Miracle! An elder who got robbed in Sep`tember just barely got his with our lots of time later. So I now have a testimony the fast offers bring blessings.
Now for my week. This week we had no time to work. We had two special training and had spend a day getting a idenification card for hna grimaldi. She hated it. It was necessary to do.But we have been trying to work. Thursday we had a special training with president about working with members. Our mission has changed how we work. We are asking referrences from members and we do the teaching. It is good but our members are a little lazy so we still have some work to do. But i think in the end it will be great because hconverts will already know people and stay active. Friday we had a meeting with all the missionaries in the 2nd transfer. So all the greenies but officially im not new anymore. also we were informed that the number of hermanas will double in the next 6 months which means i will most likely be training very quickly. I dont really want to think about it. hna grimaldi thinks I can do it, i ignore her. in march we have 6 sisters and 2 elders coming. Wow the annoucement has changed missionary work already. And they are so little! But its from the lord so I am sure it will be great in the end.
We had 2 baptisms yesterday. The first one was Luis. He has been investigating the church for 40 years and finally was baptized. I am so thankful to be a part of the experience. There was such a sweet spirit there. Also I was volunteered to gi e a talk, which I made up while talking. Oh yeah! my spanish is getting better! The second was Maite. She doesnt count as our baptism but we visited her to help her prepare. She turned 8 saturday and is so cute. She reminds me of me. so excited but so nervous. Stinking cute. Super sweet spirit too made me a little sd that I am missing the twins baptisms but people need me here.
My favorite phrase from this week.... Crying like Mary Madagline. HAHA hilarious. Thats all. I love you all!
